Arshiya Lal has spent her career leading product strategy for first-of-their-kind technologies in the sustainability and traceability space. She is passionate about addressing non-renewable material inputs and supply chain fragmentation in the fashion industry with technology solutions. She is currently Director of Corporate Development at Circ, where she partners with fashion brands to bring the world’s first textile-to-textile recycling solution for blended textile waste to market. She led Zara and Mara Hoffman’s first launch of recycled clothing made from polycotton textiles, garnering the attention of WWD and Harper’s Bazaar, solidifying Circ as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies and finalist for The Earthshot Prize. Before joining Circ in December 2022, she served as Head of Product at Modern Meadow, where she brought the start-up’s first sustainable lab-created leather products to market with fashion brands such as Everlane and Tory Burch, and informed the future roadmap of Modern Meadow’s BioMaterials business. Previous to working in materials, Arshiya led the development of enterprise blockchain technology and executed key partnerships for IBM’s blockchain business – bringing transparency to fragmented supply chains. She holds expertise in bringing retail technologies to CPG companies - including augmented reality, virtual reality, and gesture recognition. While in university, she founded and hosted the Atlanta Fashion Tech Summit, which brought together over 200 fashion enthusiasts & technologists to talk about fashion and retail innovation. Arshiya was named to her alma mater’s “40 Under 40 Alumni” list in 2022, and was recognized as GreenBiz's "30 Under 30" Leaders in Sustainability in 2024. Arshiya graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia where she studied Finance and Industrial Design and is pursuing her MBA at MIT.
