Joshua Katcher is the North America Hub Strategist at Canopy, an award-winning environmental nonprofit working to protect the world’s forests, species, and climate. He convenes key stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of Next Gen materials—innovations that keep Ancient and Endangered Forests out of fashion and packaging supply chains. A designer, educator, author, and entrepreneur, he wrote the award-winning Fashion Animals while teaching Sustainable Systems at Parsons School of Design. Katcher has lectured globally, lobbied for sustainable fashion, and serves on the board of Collective Fashion Justice, while co-hosting their podcast Fashion, Really? He appears in the documentary film SLAY (2022) founded Brave GentleMan (2010-2024), the first vegan, ethically made menswear brand, and co-founded RIND by Dina & Joshua, a Sofi™ Gold Award-winning vegan cheese company.
